Scaffold Courses - 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User & Refresher

Instructor: Ivan J. Dobis, CTE Teacher

Mission: This 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User & Refresher course is being offered only to the students of Aviation High School at the present time. Our students must have one of the following prerequisites listed below before signing up for the course.

Prerequisites:

  • OSHA 10hr Construction

Purpose: This 4-hour course is required by NYC DOB for anyone to use or work from a supported scaffold within the City’s five boroughs.

Classes: The Scaffold classes will be given during the January and June testing months

Course Length: 4 hours of instructional time, not including breaks and lunch

NYCDOE Credits: 0.08

  14. Written Assessment Classroom 

    Course Completion Requirements:

     In order to receive a 4-hour Supported Scaffold User card, students must:

    • Attend 100% of the course and not be late, make-ups time are not offered at this time for this course.
    • Be active participants in all learning events, including the final exam and hands-on activities.
    • Pass a written exam.

    New cards are valid only for 4 years. If a student does not pass the end of course assessment, he or she may have re take the entire course with an outside provider.
