Aviation Maintenance Teacher Openings at Aviation High School!

Would you like to inspire the next generation of aircraft maintenance technicians? Share your skills and experiences with the students of your alma mater! We have full-time and part-time opportunities available. Aviation High School is looking for certified Federal Aviation Administration airframe and powerplant technicians to teach high school aviation maintenance courses! Hiring Process/Conditions:

  • FAA certified airframe and powerplant aviation maintenance technicians must have at least two to four years of industry work experience to apply for a New York State CTE transitional teaching license based on the license pathway that best fits you (see below).

          • Select an Area of Interest: Career and Technical Teacher
          • Select a Subject Area: Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics
          • Select a Grade Level: Adolescent - Grade 7-12
          • Select a Title: Airframe Maintenance & Repair, 7-12
          • Select a Type of Certificate: Transitional A Certificate
             
  • FAA certified airframe and powerplant aviation maintenance technicians can also apply to substitute teach if the candidate has a bachelor's degree.
