Respect For All
The New York Public Schools Anti-Bullying campaign, Kindness over Bullies, is dedicated to building a school culture where respect, inclusion and safety are non-negotiable. By empowering students as upstanders, we inspire them to take an active role in promoting respect for differences, confronting bullying head-on, and fostering a truly supportive, bully-free environment.
Respect for All Presentations for Parents
All reports of bullying, harassment, discrimination or intimidating behavior will be investigated. Support is available to students and families before, during, and after an investigation.

Scared, hurt, don't know where to turn? Talk to any adult you trust or come down to see a counselor in room 135! All NYCDOE school staff are mandated reporters which means they must report any evidence of child abuse or maltreatment. We follow all protocols in Chancellor's Regulation A-750. |
Student to Student Sexual Harassment
Student-to-student sexual harassment is unwelcome conduct and/or communication of a sexual nature by a student directed against another student. Such behavior can constitute sexual harassment regardless of the gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression of any of the students involved. Sexual harassment may be a single incident or a series of related incidents.
Why Don’t Students Ask for Help?
- Bullying can make a child feel helpless.
- May fear being seen as weak.
- Fear backlash from the student who has bullied them.
- Can be humiliating
- They may also fear adults will be judgmental or punitive toward them for being weak.
- Students who are bullied may feel like no one cares or could understand.
- Students may fear being rejected by their peers, for being a tattletale.
